Anyone that has been admitted this year, or more likely, a previous year- what was your average when granted admission to queen's arts?

What is your average? There is no need to stress. Getting into Arts at Queen's is very easy. If you have an 80+ average and write a decent PSE you should get in eventually. I forgot what my average was when I was accepted nearly two years ago, but it was not high in any regard.

My average, as of now, is a 90. I feel like my PSE was half decent like swim and field hockey teams, environment club, competitive figure skating, volunteering at hospital with geriatric patients with Alzheimer’s...

Ok. It is almost a guarantee that you will be accepted then.

Lol, OP, it's a social science and humanities degree. They accept almost everyone who applies, so long as you meet the minimum requirements. You can get into Queen's arts with low 80s, so why are you stressing with a 90 average? This isn't McMaster health science or U of T engineering we're talking about. Arts programs are the same everywhere. You can get into U of T, Waterloo, and McMaster social sciences with mid-high 70s. Only McGill and Western require somewhat competitive averages, if you think getting a mid-high 80 and 90 in bird high school social science courses is difficult.

P.S. I'm an Arts student.

Anyone have any idea how rolling admissions for Queens work? My top 6 avg in gr. 11 was only 82, but when my semester 1 marks go in (which should be early Feb), I should have 88-90 avg with top 6 gr.11 and 12 marks.  Wondering when I could/should expect an offer from Queens.  Was hoping to hear in Feb...but maybe my avg is too low for an offer that early?  I applied and submitted PSE in late Nov.

I think you’ll definately hear back by the end of February once your 1rst semester marks are posted on ouac

Just posted this to another poster, universities should have your first semester final marks by March 1 and your second semester mid-term marks by May 7th.

So far Queen's seems to be making offers once a month around the 17th. That means that Feb offers will still be based on grade 11 marks. March offers should include 1st semester final marks.

Your marks went into OUAC but according to their website, those marks won't be updated to universities until March 1.

When I check my Waterloo application, all my grades from the first semester are there. They're not going to hold our grades until March 1st. They send them as they receive them, it's an automated process.

If you want a better view of your chances check out past years' admissions information from CUDO for Queen's. You can find it in section B3.
